Birinder Tember - Physician of Chinese Medicine
Birinder is a fully qualified and insured Traditional Acupuncturist; Herbalist and Nutritionist and currently investigating links between Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Long Covid and depression as his Phd research. Birinder has taught Chinese Medicine at various colleges and universities since 2005 and is currently the Clinical Director at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London & Bristol with responsibility for the academic and practical training of final year students. He additionally sees patients at his clinics in Kingston and London Harley Street for a wide range of health issues including (but not limited to) MS; Parkinsons; CFS; Depression; Cancer; Musco Skeletal problems; infertility; Mens problems; Menopause etc.
Chinese Medicine is an ancient and complete system of medicine in its own right and includes Acupuncture; Herbal Medicines; Tuina (acupressure massage); Qigong; Cupping and Moxibustion, all of which are incorporated within Birinder’s treatment protocols.
Birinder is also certified by the Chinese Wushu Association as an International coach at the grade of 6th Duan to teach the Chinese Internal Martial Arts of Tai Chi; Xing Yi Quan; Bagua Zhang; Tong Bei Quan and Qigong. He has trained with several masters from across the world including the Far East; Europe; Russia and the Americas and has published many papers on Health and Fitness. He recently authored an instructional book on Tai Chi. Birinder is the founder of the Academy of Eastern Arts established in 1996 and has been teaching Tai Chi and Qigong for health at Eden Fitness since 2012.
